Well, it is now January 15, 2011. It has now almost been a year since I was first diagnosed with this Breast Cancer. I can not believe everything that I have been through but I do know that it has made me so much stronger in so many ways. i had my second reconstruction last Tuesday on my left side. This was the radical side, so there was so much to do there. My doctor went on my back and took out muscle and skin and brought it all around to form the reconstruction on my left breast. It is so amazing what the Lord allows the Doctors to do and the talent that he gives them. Right now, I am pretty sore but mostly on my back. I have a couple of long incisions but they will heal and look fine. I am just so thankful to have been able to do this procedure. This will take time for healing and then on to the final steps with the reconstruction. Right now, I have planned my next surgery on Feb. 28 to remove my ovaries and tubes. Maybe they can combine something. Thats what i am hoping for. I have been through alot, but my Lord has been there through it all and provided for me in so many ways. I had the best ReCovery nurse, Joanne, at UVA. She was great and we had so much in common. I have always been treated nothing but the best there and so thankful for the opportunity to be able to have everything there. Well, just updating again. I am getting a little behind on this, but I know you dont want to hear from me everyday, not that much to say!! lol Take Care, Luv Robyn
