My Journey with Breast Cancer

Welcome Everyone to my Blog!

Hope that you all enjoy reading my Blog. I started this in 2010 when I first found out that I had Breast Cancer. I thought that it would be a way that I could keep friends/family updated. I hope that it will be of some help to others, maybe encourage others, maybe answer questions for some going through it, but most of all I want it to Glorify the Lord!

Wow, we have really had a busy week so far. We have had alot of FHTM meetings. It still amazes me at the small minds that some people have and can't see past their nose. God does provide for people outside of the ordinary Box and may just provide for you through a different type of means and not just the boring 9 to 5 job. Who wants that. I personally have never been one that likes to sit behind a desk or even work for someone else. Anyway, that is why I love our new business. May not be for everyone, and that is okay. But it is for us and that is all that counts.

Anyway, just trying now stay off of this foot some, but it is way to hard when I have things to do. So I just hobble around, trying my best to keep off of this cast. My Big Red Cast! Something that I have never had. You know, I continue to think, well, I think that I have just about been through everything and then you turn around and something else new happens to you. I said that the Lord is showing me something, but I am trying to figure it out. Maybe, just maybe, he is trying to get my family to do more around here, hahahahaha!!! They are learning to do some new things. So just maybe this is for them, not me. Just a Thought!!

Well, now I have to learn to do things a bit differently for the next 6 weeks because I now have a large red cast on my left foot.  I am still having also to walk with these crutches, which I do not like.  I guess that once I can get used to getting around I may be better at this.  I am probably not staying off of it like I should but I just can't stay sitting around so I guess that I will just hobble around.  The best thing about it, if there is such a thing, is that it is Red, which is my favorite color.  So it is a welcoming looking cast, hahaha.  Anyway,  just a new experience and trying to figure out what God is trying to teach me in having this.  Maybe to slow down and take it easy, which is hard to do.  Or maybe even to get others in my household to help me do things, lol.  Whatever, it's my new life for the next 6 weeks!

I have started reading a book that I have actually had for a while but just picked it out of my bookcase recently. It is called "Simple Abundance" A Daybook of Comfort and Joy. It is a daily read with such inspiring stories about life and things about your home, etc. I had actually jumped over to the June section and started reading each day, but then I found myself wanting to read more and more, so I just continued. Then I read the introduction and the author, Sarah Ban Breathnach suggested that even if you started later that you actually go back and start reading at the beginning to, so I did. This for me, is just a type of, Feel good, book that makes you feel good and do things to enjoy your life, maybe see things differently about things, about your home too.
Just a Thought and recommendation about this book. Amazon has it for 1.99 used, just a good read.
Well, just had to go and break my foot. I can't believe that this has happened. Now I get to wear a boot/cast for the next month. i can not stand be so confined and right now having to walk on these crutches. Not to comfortable under my arms so I hope and pray that they are just temporary. Never had this happen before!

Stephen and Lyndseys Wedding

We had a wonderful time last night at Stephen and Lyndseys Wedding. It was very pretty and i can not believe how the boys have grown. I had to just sit there and cry because when I looked up and say all of the groomsmen I just kept seeing them as little boys, playing and getting into trouble. Anyway. they all looked so handsome, especially my son, Justin. Stephen had his fellow sargeants from the Marines there as Sword Detailers. When they came out they were all lined up and they cam through it. At the end, one popped Lyndsey on the behind and said, Welcome to the Family! Thought that was cute. All those guys have fought in Irac several times with Stephen, Thank you to all who have served us and protected us. Had a great time at the reception, they had a full sit down dinner and dancing too. I didn't, but my boys did. It was all so nice. Great seeing Steve and Sharon and also the McDuffie's, just sorry that Daniel couldnt be there, he is at Boot camp now.

Dog Days!

It is such a beautiful day today. All I want to do is either work in my yard or just go out somewhere. Really need to clean this house, but ugg, who wants to stay inside and do that. Today the heat has finally broken here in Danville and we can actually stand it outside. Jay and I went out for a bit and when we got back we took the dogs, all three, outside. Mac, the plott hound/lab., was soo funny. He had found a dead bird and started running around the yard with it trying to fret Duke, the min pin. He would act like he picked it up so that Duke would chase him. He really couldn't find it, but kept playing tricks on Duke with it. Daisey wasn't interested in running, just releaved that Mac was chasing her again!

Life with These Three Mutts!!!

This is our House in Pigeon Forge, TN. Also, we do rent it out!!
Well, since it is about 12: 16 I guess that I should go to bed. I am sooo enjoying working on this Blog Design. Finding something new all of the time. Getting tired, so good night to all. Sleep Tight!

And last of all, this is Duke, The Mini Pinscher, who just one day showed up at our house. After about two weeks worth of trying to find the owner we just decided to keep him. He is a well mannered little "Show Dog".

This is Daisey, Our Corgi. She is almost 4 July 16th and we have had her for over 3 years.

It's A Dog's Life!

Whewww, Life with these three dogs is sometimes driving me Crazy, but I do love all of them and knowing that we have given them a good home is very satisfying. This one is MAC, this is Tyler's dog and he is a Rescue from a shelter. Mac is a Lab/Plott Hound Mix and is 9 months old. Very Active!!!!
Just got back from another 3 mile walk. Enjoying these, but still so hot. Good Day yesterday. Jay and I painted sprayed Aunt Jeannies Deck for her. It turned out so pretty. Then went to lunch with the family on our regular Wed. luncheon at Golden Corral. We had church last night with Scott talking about Volunteering. Wish that we had more people who would help out.

Jay puts so much time working on things at the church, but he enjoys it and I know and already know that the Lord blesses him greatly for it.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone!! :)
